Beginner's Sewing

Dust off your sewing machine and bring it to our beginners sewing class. Learn the basics of using your sewing machine from threading to sewing. We will look at the various types of sewing machines, the tools of the trade, and fabric preparation. We will make a pillow case using the “Magic Sausage Roll” method. You will learn how to prepare the fabric, cut, pin, press and sew ¼” and French seams while completing this project.
Bring: A portable sewing machine with owner’s manual, machine sewing needles, extension cord, bobbins, thread, scissors, straight pins, pincushion, and tape measure.
Class duration 4 weeks, 2 hour sessions.
