You already know that stress contributes to stroke, heart disease, chronic gastrointestinal troubles, anxiety, and depression. It’s possible to develop your natural ability to relax and rest in a place of mental stillness. In this one-hour session we will discuss the stress response and introduce some practices for easing physical tension and quieting a busy mind. Registration not required but encouraged. To register contact the library at 518-789-3340.
Dr. Crum teaches MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction), the course developed at UMass Medical School by Jon Kabat-Zinn. She is a member of the NYC Mindfulness Meditation Teachers’ Collaborative
