Agriculture Literacy Week 2021 Activities Virtual Farmer Visit and Read Aloud with Gregg Pulver

Meet local farmer, Gregg Pulver as he talks about farms, dairy and more!  He will also be reading aloud the book Chuck’s Ice Cream Wish, Tales of the Dairy Godmother by Viola Butler.

This year NY Ag in the Classroom chose to highlight the dairy industry by giving an inside look at how ice-cream is produced from the farm to cone.  Children will have an immediate connection to this dairy treat, and we hope it will help them understand and communicate the value of the largest sector of New York’s agriculture industry.

Come join local musician Aly Halpert for an interactive, joyful, and playful Kid’s Community Sing for young people and families.

We’ll sing and dance to classics, originals off Aly’s children’s album, and morning songs of gratitude that will start your day off just right.
