Sport Injury Prevention Workshop

In the Library’s Annex

Lead by Josh Chason, this workshop general overview of common sport injuries (strains/sprains, heat illness, concussions) and general advice to both avoid and treat. It will also cover some specific sport injuries and about what a parent should look for in a high school athletic program. The workshop will be followed by a question and answer session.

Josh Chason is certified through the NATABOC (National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification) as an Athletic Trainer, certified as an NYS EMT and in the process of completing his paramedic certifications. He is also a first-aid and CPR instructor and has been instructing high school and college coaching staffs for the past 8 years in emergency care. He has worked the past 5 years at Vassar College as an ATC and currently works for Mobile Life Support Services.

This Workshop is free but registration is suggested.

All entries must be matted and submitted to the library by Friday, July 12^th at 6pm.
