Picture Book Month
November 1-30, 2019N/A
Picture Book Month is an initiative that celebrates the print picture book. Every Wednesday in November, we will introduce a "Picture Book Champion" from the community on Facebook and Instagram explaining why they think picture books are important. There’s nothing like being able to turn the page of a beautifully crafted picture book.
One of Kristin's favorite picture books is for children of all ages: Thank You Sarah: The Woman Who Saved Thanksgiving, by Laurie Halse Anderson, tells us about Sarah Josepha Hale, the woman who helped make Thanksgiving a national holiday.
Help us reach our goal of reading 200 picture books by:
1) Pick up a reading log. 2) Check out picture books! 3) Keep track of the books in your log. 4) At the end of the month, turn in your logs to receive a certificate of completion and a small prize.
Read. Share. Celebrate!
We offer story times and other activities for children, teens, and adults, including a book discussion group. Check our program calendar or call the library at 518-789-3340.
