Dutchess County Sherriff Deputy Arthur Hart will present a program entitled Citizens Response to Active Shooter on May 8th at 6pm at the Millerton Library Annex, 28 Century Blvd in Millerton.
Everyone is invited to attend this important training on how to respond during, and immediately after an Active Shooter incident.
Following Active Shooter will be training to “Stop the Bleed,” a national awareness campaign, facilitated locally by the Medical Reserve Corps of Dutchess County, to encourage bystanders to become trained, equipped, and empowered to help in a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives.
Participants will learn how to properly use direct pressure, wound packing and tourniquets to help save a life when seconds count.
