Area food pantries are running critically low. For the month of February, the NorthEast-Millerton Library will be accepting food and hygiene items to help our community. Anyone who donations items will receive a credit to payoff fines from NorthEast-Millerton Library only. Donations cannot be used to pay fees for lost or damaged items orfines generated at other libraries.
Food and hygiene items can be donated any time during the Library's normal business hours. Please bring them inside: do not put them in our return box or leave them outside.
Each single food item will count as $1 off per item, with Ramen noodles (and other multi-pack items) accepted at a value of 4 packages = $1
Each single hygiene item will be counted as $1 off per item.
Multi-pack items (packages of toilet paper, diapers, etc.) will be counted at a value of $5 per package.
Food must be in store-sealed cans, boxes and within its expiration date.
No perishable food, glass or opened containers will be accepted.
