Identity and Conflict: Examining our Personal Responses to Disagreements and Looking at Ways to be more Mindful

July 26, 2017

Conflicts often arise in our day-to-day lives. This program, presented by Claudia Abbott-Barish, is designed to teach you how to resolve them without lasting damage to relationships by teaching you how to recognize your own patterns of behavior. Knowing who we are, how we react and why we do, can help us maintain perspective and develop calmer and clearer approaches to conflict. Such efforts are more likely to result in the kind of resolution and understanding we would most like to see and more ably address systemic issues experienced in our interpersonal dynamics.

Claudia Abbott-Barish is the Restorative Justice Specialist for the Mediation Center of Dutchess County. She comes with years of experience - personal, spiritual and professional - in transformative approaches to conflict resolution.
